Hi everyone, my name is Xiaoou I do apologise in advance if I did not introduce myself in a separate thread. I work for Yike Go, a Chinese company specialised in Go and sponsored the 4th European Go Grand Slam Tournament, which was held a while ago.

I am writing this one just to let you know that we are now on Twitter @YikeGo_en. At the moment we are starting doing some live games and commentary in English for games on our site (for free, of course).

Should anyone here be interested in watching Asian games with English commentary at a relatively stable frequency just give us a follow on Twitter, where we will inform our followers in advance about which games will be broadcast via our portal. We will increase the games to be broadcast in English.

We will have a site and app in English soon. We also offer services for tournament organisation and Go education, both's English version will be ready in due course.

:salute:

Best,
Xiaoou

Hello Xiaoou! Welcome to the forums!

Looking forward to what you guys bring to the global Go scene in English. Always nice to get more of a connection to the Chinese go scene, as large and well-developed as it is.

Hey, how is the english version coming along?

I can't find it from the menu. I can see the android app is in japanese, at least partly, but is the website version available in english or japanese or only in chinese?

After registering yesterday, my real name was "under review". Today the status changed to 再次认证 which google translates to "recertification", and my profile page is not accessible any more but is grayed out on the web browser version.

On the android mobile app I am able to get back to my profile, but it wants me to set my rank again and give my real name. I re-set them, and put my first name as my "real name", but I guess I won't be accepted(?) this time either.

Yikeweiqi seems to have 30 000 people online right now, and many many games visible in the game list on the android app, on the website version it only shows some specially picked games on the main screen.

It would be really nice if the website version had an english version available, because none of the big asian go servers have a linux friendly client, this seems to be an exception, as it seems you would be able to play from the web browser directly.

Also I am a bit baffled with the verification of "real name". I haven't seen that kind of feature on other go servers, and besides, how am I supposed to verify my real name?

I would also like to hava an English browser version... I tried the tip of using Google translate but it doesn't translate anything... But as it is, I can't use it at all, what a shame!
