Starting from May 2, Golaxy played 30 games as white with no komi against top pros and one amateur,
Golaxy won all of them ! Game records are attached.

This suggests 1 stone is not enough; they should try 2 or 3 stones against the top humans.

That's not so surprising though, right?

FineArt was already giving 2 stone + 0.5 komi, or 1.5 rank handicaps to pros a few months ago. Golaxy is presumably much stronger than FineArt was then, so it's not surprising that Golaxy won every game with a 0.5 komi, or 1/2 rank handicap.

I personally would like to see a 2 rank handicap, 2 stone + 7.5 reverse komi or 3 stone + 7.5 komi. I think top humans would have a good chance to play evenly then.

What surprise me is the playing style of Golaxy which makes the games more interesting and exciting to see than any other AI !

WindCaliber, not at all, I've been saying 3-stones for over 2 years.

Xie Ke 5p just beat Golaxy, well done him! He had a step ko in endgame to kill a group (but still kinda complicated when it resigned, I suppose he loses ko and gets enough compensation).

I knew it! Humans still can beat bests bots. And they played only 20 min main time. Well done!

I definitely did not expect this. I've watched most of the games in this series. Very strong AI that never once seems to fall behind.

is an interesting move. Maybe a big moyo strategy is the way to go against a Golaxy's territorial(?) style, although clearly that hasn't been working so far.

Did Golaxy misread the life and death of the lower group—surely it could've avoided that situation? And is Black ahead by more than komi at the end of the game? That would be interesting, although we wouldn't be able to conclude that he could have won an even game since the handicap probably altered Golaxy's moves.

Not sure if it's exactly the same spot, but is at least similar to one of AlphaGo's innovations.
