Hi, this morning I replied to a question on my post "Hi folks!" in the Introductions section, and it still hasn't posted yet. Is this normal? Thanks for your help!

No, this is not normal. If you do not see your post right after you hit the 'submit' button, then you have failed to post. There is no delay. You will have to try again.

It is normal during the approval period for new posters as the first few posts have to been approved manually by moderators in order to avoid spammer bot attacks.

Hi Dave, I approved two of his 'newish' posts manually; he should be OK now.
