Yes of course, I just realized this after posting...

127 at S12 should kill unconditionally. 131 should hane on the other side instead of blocking.

I was thinking much the same, since P9 and R9 are miai. But 113 at P12 works also, and guarantees a connection to the upper right stones.

Regarding 3rd line stones, there is saying in Japan that 4 dies and 6 lives (5 depends on who has sente). So you should strive to make a 3rd line of 6 stones or make a line of 5 stones+sente, if you want to live within an opponent framework.
