If I'm not mistaken one of the Japanese women, Niu Eiko 2p, is Michael Redmond's daughter. Nice to see her reaching this level of playing.

The only two pro games I've looked at during the last few weeks have both featured 3-3 points. Is the move making some kind of comeback or is it just coincidence?
I like the way white settles in black's moyo on the right. I was curious and let Leela analyze the game (not with that many playouts though) and it (she?) doesn't like :b35: and suggests hane at O9 (keeping white weakish while building around the center/top). :w36:, Leela prefers O5 or N9 (again playing in the center instead of the right side, maybe because it is open at S15 and so not that important anyway?). :b47: is the biggest mistake, Leela suggests O5 (keeping white in a tight spot without giving her something to play with).
