What sounds do people substitute for moves in your country?

E.g. Zug zug zug or Tac Tac Tac or Dak Dak Dak or Pak Pak Pak

Hmm, I haven't really thought of this before. I suppose it's like animal sounds in different languages.

Here in Canada, most people I know would say it's a "click" sound... I believe in Japan they say "taka-taka" (but that comes from my limited Hikaru no Go knowledge :) ).

when reading a variation, i say "bum" (czech, pronounced as english "boom") for each move.
but that's clearly not a realistic sound. to emulate the real sound i would say "pak" or "click"

I usually say "na, na, na" to myself as I read out moves, but I don't know why. I don't say this out loud, just in my head. Sometimes I say "there, there, there" to myself instead.

A Japanese friend does say "taka taka taka TAK" out loud as she reads things. I always thought it was funny and strange but I guess that it is just Japanese. :)

Also sometimes "doot doot doot" when reading, which I picked up from Battousai.

Ha ha! I started writing that I say "doot doot doot" when I'm reading out sequences, then decided it looked too stupid and erased it.

I tend to tap the table with my fingernails while I'm reading.
