We’ve seen that clip referenced here several times. It’s always fun to watch and part of Kuroki’s video collection, I believe, or at least part of a mix someone created. There is an English translation someplace of the commentary explaining the type of the possibly vegetable-based wax and why it’s done in that exact and specific fashion.
Don’t try this at home, you cannot find that particular wax, and look like years of apprenticeship are required to run the hairdryer. We know some folks have great success with carnuaba waxes. You do not want to rub very hard or you might risk damaging the lines.
