Life In 19x19

Hi,

I was W in this game. I thought, that the moves in the opening in the lower left corner where actually good for me because I got the corner. The AI says its the complete opposite.
Can someone tell me why this is so terrible for W?

I think there is a big lesson in Joseki for me to learn because of my soooo false judgement on this one.

IMHO, when you are learning, it is usually a good idea to try to keep and take sente (the initiative). Trying to take territory is often too slow.

The result on the top right was also very bad. The joseki move is at R14. Don't allow your group to be surrounded.
