Should White try to save his stones with ''a'', sacrifice with ''b'' or play elsewhere ''c''?

"a" and "b" are just points, the two white stones are not cutting two weak groups. On the other hand, the extension "c" defends a weak group. So I am tempted to say that "c"is more urgent, but I don't know how to compare the values of the three moves.

i would say "c" is the biggest move, but 'b' is forcing, if black ignores then the two white stones will be connected. so i would say 'b' first then 'c'
