The longest professional game

Happened earlier this week. 431 moves including 6 dame moves, beating the previous record by a big margin. The players could have made it 6 moves longer as both sides had one more ko threat (B13 and E18) left unused.

I think I saw some video of this, when they were counting.

The board was full, of course, and each player had a bunch of stones that they had to count "the old way". In amateur games, you exchange captured stones when you run out stones in your bowl, but I wondered how they handled it in pro games. I guess that someone adds stones to the bowls without the players having to ask or worry about this.

They probably leave the prisoners un-exchanged so that they can be used to confirm that the kifu is correct.
Ko fights are notorious for generating errors by even the most dedicated game recorder.
