After 10,900 posts, Bill suddenly stopped posting around the end of July and has not visited the forum since mid August. I tried to PM him but received no reply. Does anyone have contact details for Bill other than L19? I'd just like to check whether he is OK. You can PM me if you have them.

A search online reveals a Euclid Avenue address. Does anyone know if this is his latest?

I have an old business associate / friend who lives about two miles away. If anyone can confirm that address, I could probably ask him to drop by and inquire.

For Bill Spight and 2019, I confirm Oakland and have a 55th St. address. When was Euclid Avenue? I have an email address of his but it is confidential. So far, I have been patient; he might travel, rest, work hard or have had bad luck. If more time passes, I can try to contact him by snail mail from Germany or email. Some local contact would be easier though. The AGA might have information.

Once I put 55th street as a term in the searches, it comes back as the most recent of the two.
A few more searches shows that it is owned by the lady who he quotes in his signature.

So I think we have a definite address.

I don't know if anyone else has taken an initiative of the kind but I left a message with one of his presumable neighbours. No high hopes for them to return the call of a stranger but you never know.

Along with the info on the 55th Street address, there was another person with the same family name as Bill's late wife. I tried calling the listed phone number of that person a couple of times but there was no answer. It was a Chicago number anyway.

The neighbour I tried has moved to Atlanta. The person mentioned by David has deceased. I'll try another one and then I give up, because it's bordering on privacy breach.

I believe Bill Spight has collaborated in the past with Eric Demaine, a professor of computer science at MIT. It may be a long shot, but perhaps he would have some news of Bill. (His email address is posted on his webpage.)

There's a North Oakland Go club whose meetup page is still actively updating:

And apparently they meet at a Starbucks a few miles from Bill's address. If anyone knows someone who frequents the club, reaching out may be helpful.

He lives about equally close to the 55th street address. I just sent him email asking if he could drop by and ask.
