The new two round online section was held over the weekend.

I noticed the following:
- Japan was 5 / 11 in the first round but only Ichiriki made it through to the in person final.
- Korea was 6 / 12 in the first round but got 4 to the final, that is not counting Shin Jinseo who was seeded.
- China got 8 plus Xie Ke, who was seeded, to the final. It look like that is 13 / 19 in the first round (but they did get 3 games against Europe and North America).
- Asian games champion Xu Haohong made it to the final, but otherwise the 9 person strong team Taiwan only had one other win.

So it looks like the big three all did around 50% in the first round if we don't count games with Europe, North America and Southeast Asia, but China and Korea really killed the second round.

BTW Ueno Asami lost by 1 point to Park Junghwan in the second round. He is very famous, kids(?), having won multiple international championship and more importantly he has challenged twice for the Ing cup. He is still at 6th place on the mamumamu rating list.

The only Korean left after the first round of the final was Park. Xu Haohong and Ichiriki also made it to the second round. I only scanned over the names.

I saw some photos. Ke Jie has gotten serious, he upped his hairstyle, it reminds me of Shindo Hikaru. Maybe this is the power up that he needs to win the tournament?

Park and Ichiriki appear to be struggling, right now, in the second round. OK, I'm not following it closely but there is AI percentages on display. Park often comes back from behind, maybe it is normal for him to play a long game. Now that I check again I see that Ke Jie has lost his lead on percentage.

I found that you can watch the games on yike without installing anything but it helps if your browser can translate the webpage.

It looks like Ichiriki Ryo, Xu Haohong, Ke Jie and Ke Xie made it to the semis. I hope I have that right.

After two games in the semi final matches it appears that Xie Ke bet Xu HaoHong 2-0 and Ichiriki and Ke Jie are tied, the deciding game in their match starts already tonight or tomorrow, depending on time zone.
