Where you hear(or read) about the ASR league for the first time?
why you choose participate in the league?
what you liked most and convinced you to enter?
It would be nice to announce the league in more places, and share your impressions. lets invite more people to make it bigger.

I first heard about it here, and then a friend bullied me into joining. =D

The reason I joined is, the thing I needed most to improve at the time was to play a lot of games, and this seemed like a nice way to force myself to get that experience, while making seem like a less onerous task.

Well, it's been way too long since I've played serious real time games, and I thought it was about time that changed. However, just tracking people down or playing random rated games was boring and uninteresting to me, so I never got the motivation to do it. The ASR meant I got to play lots of games, and have a reason to do so, and I've gone from playing 10 games a year to 20 a month

well, i hear about it first in their own room, i was looking around. i like playing continuosly in a competitive way, so wanted to enter from the beginning, but when i found their way of recording the results, i realized that the league will be more than just great.

I joined the ASR League, because many people I knew on KGS had joined. ^_^ I've gained about 2-3 stones since when I joined, back in October 2009.

I can't remember why I joined. Seemed like fun, I guess. It's been over a year, now. I haven't really gotten much stronger, I don't think.
