Is the name ever going to be switched from GoDiscussions to Lifein19x19?

It's not really possible to switch the name (unless wms wants to mess with some database I'm guessing). It just seems to be a nice bit of history now.

Eventually we might want to make an L19 room... As GD becomes history and the pool of new players grow, we would want them to be able to find us there I would think....

In that case I say we do it, now that GoDiscusssions is long gone. I see that you're one of three the owners of the room, xed_over. I know I wouldn't object if you contacted someone to get it done.

I should have found this post earlier. I went on KGS, looking for the L19 room, and only found the GoDiscussions room. I wasn't a member of GoDiscussions, and wasn't sure at first, if it was our room.
It might be useful to sticky this info, for new members to find L19's room.

I sent a PM to wms two months ago requesting a rename, but got no response.

A PM here? I must have forgotten it. I usually read l19 at work, where I can't/shouldn't log in to KGS, so it would be easy for me to forget.
Javaness is one of the godiscussions.com room owners and is also a KGS Sr. Admin. Java, why don't you just make the change when you log in next time? (Hopefully he is reading this!)

I saw sweety online last night when I was on for a short time, but I forgot to ask her to rename the room for us.

It is normal to feel sad.
GD was awesome for a while, but eventually everything comes to an end.
We were lucky to have a wonderful replacement.
