Life In 19x19

Some people have not been happy with the styles and colors that this forum uses. ( see viewtopic.php?f=14&t=231 ) So I'm going to try to provide some more choices.

There are currently 4 styles available. They are:
Prosilver
Glass softblue
Glass cyan
Subsilver2

Currently, everyone on the forum appears to be using Subsilver2. I created three new users so that you can see what the other styles look like. All you have to do is login as one of those users. If you something that you like better than your current style, PM me and I'll assign you your preferred style. ( at least I think this should work )




EDIT: This idea may have to wait. We have the wonderful situation of too many admins fixing things and the problem now is one admin not knowing what another admin has done. Many of the changes are only implemented in one style, and I didn't know that when I started this thread.

Screen shots posted in the thread would be easier; that way we could compare them...

Thanks, but it turns out to be more work. When someone wants to know what a certain feature looks like ( example: what a link looks like after it has been clicked ) I'd have to have another screen shot for that. The easiest way for a user to see all of the features of a style seems to just give him a test ride.

You can just show the main index page with clicked and unclicked links. I think most people aren't going to bother to log in several times to see the differences.

This whole thread is moot right now. Many of the recent improvements being made are made in one style only. So if you did get another style, some features - SFG for example - would not work.
Eventually, most of the needed improvements will be made and implemented in one style. Then alternate styles will be cloned from that.
