hi

in this game i messed up the opening (and some oeher things - lets start with the opening).
in the upper left i didn't manage to keep white low. then i tried to invade on the bottom left to make up for the upper right, but somehow i didnt succeed.
I would like to get some hints on what i should have done there.

If you have suggestions on any other moves, i would like to them too, of course. ;)

So, here's the game:

Your troubles in this game can be traced back to one move, the approach to the bottom left corner. OC, much happened after that, but that was the start.

A simple wedge, at or around :b3:, would have easily prevented White from making a humungous framework on the left side. Black has room on both sides to make a two space extension for a base. :)

(Note: I think that Black should exchange :b1: and :w2: first, because if Black plays :b3: first, the turn at 1 would be big for White. But the key play is the wedge. :)

Move 9 to G15. Was that a normal move? The corner will be so huge after that. :-|

Normal for move 9 is E17 instead of G15.

Move 191 isn't necessary.

I know this is just responding to a post that's in a dead thread, but if black doesn't respond to white 190, can't white just play G12 and make it a seki? I know that at this point in the game black is too far behind to come back, but it widens the gap even more if he doesn't respond. If it had been a closer game having those stones become a seki would turn it in whites favour wouldn't it?

Correct.
