Life In 19x19

I don't mind moving to a new forum instead of staying at Go Discussion. I also don't mind getting used to a new interface, although it would be nice if it were the same as the old interface. I'm thrilled to hear that a lot of the history of old threads might be following from Go Discussions so we have all that good stuff to refer to.

But I am the only one who is sad to go from having well over 1,000 posts to having fewer than 10?

Well, if it makes you feel better I went from ~3500 to 140.

My shallow grievance isn't the number of posts lost for me. I was hoping that the number of views on the Big Brother Malkovich game I'm a part of would grow to be higher than that of any other game. It was neck and neck with Fwiffo and Topazg's game for quite a while, though it is still relatively early in the game. Alas, now the number is small~

I had over 2000 post on GD, I easily give that up with no regrets and no hesitation for a healthy Go community. A hundred years from now nobody will remember me, but the Go community should persist.

Uh, I dunno how many posts I had there. But I've only 1 here. Just found out about all this, so this is merely a test to see if my avatar et al have followed me.

Nah, doesn't bother me. We can all celebrate 1000 again! (someday)

Doesn't matter to me as I was still waiting for posting capabilities on GD.

That's odd, do you have to select an option to get the old post count? Why is it working for only some users?
Edit - nevermind, I found it. I wrongly assumed it would automatically import or something... although my mere 41 posts appear relatively small (there appears to be a typo, two colons after "GD Posts").

Thanks for catching the typo. It is corrected.

As implied in the above post, you have to go to GD yourself and copy it to the field in your profile.

Nice feature. But once set you can't remove the displayed number again. Levinng the input field in your profile blank, "0" is displayed.
(Don't want to boast my measly 12, tried to display "few" or something like that )

I tried to set the field to "yes", then -12, then 4.8. all were rejected because of "good programming" and solid user input checking.

How boring...
