Life In 19x19

A friend (who does not play go, and I'm the only person she knows who plays much) had a dream that referenced go. I was amused, so I'm going to share her description.

Friend: "> So, I was hired to take out Vin Diesel, and I fight him for a while,
only it turns out that the people who hired me (the Go League (they
reminded me of the mafia)) were EVIL, so I ended up joining forces
with Vin and we had the whole action movie war-thing against the Go
League. The Go League's rooms were all done in like, pseudo-chinese and
-japanese decor, with elaborate go boards, and I think maybe their guns
fired go stones instead of bullets."

Silly, but it amused me.

My dreams always involve being back in High School or College for some reason. Last night I was dreaming I was in some group project in some sort of literature class, and we were trying to come up with a name for our group. One guy, who was obviously the weakest link, kept rejecting all the cool names were were coming up with and wanting cat-based names like "The Lions" or "The Jaguars." Eventually we sent him off to get coffee or something, and we settled on my suggestion of "Dante's Infernal."

I used to have Go dreams all the time, now I have only SC2 dreams .

All I have is my brain treating go like white noise before I fall asleep, nonsensical positions that I keep reading randomly till I finally sleep.

When I first started playing, I was constantly having Go dreams. There wasn't any plot to them, just stones being placed on the board. These thoughts would be on my mind constantly during the day and would keep going at night, even causing me to lose sleep a couple of times.

I wish I still had these dreams.
