Here is my first game as 14k against a 13k, I played black.
I changed my way of thinking a bit after all the tipps I got and this is the first game I tryed my new knowlede on.
My opponent resinged pretty early (almost all of my games where played until the end) so I was surprised at first when the message showed up (I actually thought I got disconnencted again^^, which almost had cost me a winning game before).
Since I follow a new strategy to not just make "territorys" but also make use of "influence".
Also my fighting skills are very bad so pleased point out my mistakes here.
I added a lot of comments and added question what I was thinking about during the game.

We don't know who we are; we don't know where we are.
Each of us woke up one moment and here we were in the darkness.
We're nameless things with no memory; no knowledge of what went before,
No understanding of what is now, no knowledge of what will be.

Re: My first game as a 14k
Just a general comment: you don't want to leave groups for your opponent to attack. So around move 53, I don't think C10 or so would be good. While there is only one stone at H3, and you can often treat stones "lightly" (that is, decide it is okay not to save them), H3 is a pretty important stone, so you should make a base or run out. If white ignored your move around C10 (which he could certainly do), white could start chasing H3 around and build strength/territory in the process. And you can't really sacrifice the stone because that would probably mean giving white the entire bottom side.
All that said, you can probably find a high dan game or professional game in which someone played elsewhere, so, don't feel constricted. The proverb is "urgent moves before big moves."
On white's resignation--sure, w can resign. But Guo Juan would tell you never to resign if you're playing against another DDK, because you never know.
