Is that table correct? Francis Meyer placed ahead of Eric in the US Open, but he doesn't seem to have earned any WAGC points and Eric is listed as the top points getter from that event.

I'm not sure if the AGA's limitations apply at the time you would receive points, or when you'd be selected to attend the WAGC, but I think Meyer went to Congress fresh off the plane from Japan. He's also only played 9 games, though I guess that requirement has been removed? (The usgo.org WAGC page hasn't been changed).

there were a lot of back and forth emails on this issue, that I didn't get involved with (and only saw a few of the discussions), but I believe it came down to some sort eligibility issue. Sorry, I don't have details.
You'll notice that this year is also Jie Liang's first appearance with points, as I believe he's a US citizen now.

It looks like someone has screwed it up.
The rule document is posted at
http://usgo.org/tournaments/WAGC/WAGCSe ... cedure.pdf, and it is clear that the only requirement to earn points is citizenship. Actually representing the US overseas has requirements, but earning points doesn't.

In Norway, there are two 4d who finished 1st with the exact score in qualification. Morten Ofstad and Pål Sannes are their names, both from Oslo.

Did any of players had difficulties with buying tickets?
I purchased ticket much earlier, but was informed today that I must change flight to one day earlier or later.
