Internal Server Errors

I keep getting internal server errors when trying to access some threads. Notably, the tourney thread, and other long threads with heavy SGF use.
I get this problem in Chrome and IE, at home, and at work, which is the only place anyone should ever use IE.

Anyone know what is causing this?

Sounds like you may be timing out before all the info can be grabbed from the server.
Try going to the user control panel>>board preferences>>edit display options... then change the posts per page to a lower number. I would suggest maybe cutting the number in half at first.
Let me know how that works for you.

Well, I used to have it set to a nice round 100 posts per page, which is my prefered setting. Until about a week ago, this was not a problem, now it reliably won't load.
I switched to 75, still errored out, now I'm down to 50.
Any particular reason why the server is responding slower these days?

haha... that's awesome !!! a man after my own heart

I have mine set at 40, and sometimes think the server can't handle it. I still can't get anyone to figure out the bug with the "first unread post" link when the number of posts are over 40 (page 2) and there are still unread posts on page 1. It skips all the unread posts on the first page and jumps to page two. (no problems with pages after that)
The default 10 is just ridiculously too few

Are you sure the default is 10? I'm pretty sure I've never changed any settings, and I get 20 per page. (And even that sometimes takes a while to load - but that's probably because I'm on a cheap netbook

)
