Black four corners, white wins

The content in this game isn't very good, but I thought the end result was pretty interesting. Basically, my opponent kept taking territory instead of trying to fight for any sort of influence. Result: huge center territory. Enjoy!

P.S. Does anyone know why the third handicap stone is in a corner and not at tengen?

One of my Go-playing friends and I used to frequently quote a tongue-in-cheek saying applying to handicap games: "If white has four corners, black should resign. If black has four corners, black should resign."

Yes, I've heard that before. Obviously, my subject references it. I guess the point is if you're black and just taking corners the chances are you aren't seeing the big picture, i.e. white's impenetrable moyo.

That's where the third handicap stone always goes.

I think it used to be at tengen? I saw an sgf of variations of an old Chinese joseki, I forget which one (possibly drooping lotus, but I don't think so) in a three-stone handicap game where the third handicap stone was at tengen.

Yes, it's just all the other stone placements are symmetric... except for three stones.
