If you had to guess, what percentage of your life do you devote toward go these days?

There are 24 hours in a day. I'd say I devote, on average, 0,5 hours toward go, so that makes about 2%. I should vote for 0% because that is nearest, but that gives a false impression, so I abstain.
e: perhaps you meant something else than percentage of total hours, since 100% is also an option and one has to sleep too.

7.5%.
Let's see...I've played this game for about 6.5 years. I've been playing in the TGC and the SGC for about 5 of those 6.5 years, or 260 weeks. I go to both often, but not consistently every week, so I'd say around 170 of those 260 weeks were weeks where I went to both Go clubs. I play about 2 games a week at the SGC on Tuesday nights, and 2 games a week at the TGC meetings every weekend, so about 4 club games a week for 170 weeks, or 680 club games.
I've played 192 AGA-sanctioned tournament games, 5 CGA-sanctioned tournament games, and 14 EGF-sanctioned tournament games, so 211 tournament games.
Across the Go servers, I've played about 4,000 games. I'd say 20% of those games were blitz, 70% of those games were casual, and 10% were slow (e.g., KGS tourney game, league game, etc.).
A blitz game takes about 10-20 minutes, a casual/club game takes about 30-60 minutes, and a slow/tournament game takes about 90-120 minutes. For simplicity we'll just average it 15 for blitz, 45 for casual, and 105 for slow/tournament.
(0.2 * 4000) blitz games * 15 min. = 12,000 min. ((0.7 * 4000) + 680 casual/club games) * 45 min. = 156,600 min. ((0.1 * 4000) + 211 slow/tournament games) * 105 min. = 64,155 min.
Total: 232,755 min. spent playing Go over 6.5 years. I'd say I've devoted 10% of that time to studying Go (reading books, observing/kibitzing games, watching KGS+ lectures, going to workshops, etc.), so 232,755 + (0.1 * 232,755) = 256,031 minutes devoted to Go.
6.5 years = 3,418,667 minutes, so I've devoted 256,031/3,418,667 = 7.5% of my life to Go.

Well, if you mean play time, 10%. But I've noticed I tend to spend more time reading about Go (the latest Go news, ect.) and watching dan and pro players more than I actually play. Is that weird?
So if you include everything, it's probably more than 10%.

I don't actually keep track of it. Sometimes I spend no time at all on Go because there are other interests that keep me under their spell or at least busy, and other times there are days or even weeks where every spare minute goes into Go.
So, Kirby, what percentage of your life do you spend analyzing life, and how much of it do you spend living life?

Hmm, good point!
To others confused about the percentages, I had originally meant the percentages to be taken from the time doing things that are optional to do for survival. You have to sleep, so you don't have to put that into the equation. You don't have to count time eating, either - except for "eating for recreation", if you do that.

considering league things i do, 50% of the time goes into go, its pretty much i guess:) but actually playing go is much lower, maybe around 3%:P
i hope to be able to play more the coming time though:)

24.7846109998734551345% approximately. But what was the question again?

10%, maybe more for the past couple of weeks. Too much time on the boards, too little time doing problems or reading books. Almost no time playing face to face or timed games. About the right amount on DGS.
I just used my day minus time spent sleeping (about 6.5 hours, sadly) as the base, because I don't know how to count the time needed for survival. Does my commute count? How do I count the time I spend dicking around on the internet at work? If I'm watching my daughter, and I sneak a moment on the computer while she plays with her toys, how do I count that? It's enough to give John a headache.
edited to remove an ambiguity.

I've played about 1900 games during the last 2.5 years. That's about two games a day. Assuming a game lasts 20 mins on average this means I spend about 40 mins a day playing go. That's probably a relatively small percentage comparing with things like surfing.

I must say that I'm geniunely impressed by your dedication towards Go as a 6.5 year old!
