Does anyone know of a go program for Kindle Touch? Especially a server player, or even KGS?

http://www.engadget.com/2012/02/10/amaz ... -in-japan/If the report is true that Amazon is preparing Kindle Touch for April Japan launch, does that mean we'll see some go applications for it? At minimum, I'd love to see a go kifu and or a go server player.

I have a Nook Tablet modded which runs all the Android software. An IGS beta app exists, wbaduk for Japanese community exists, and of course KGS is there.
If you can, I would say mod it and get the Android market for more support.

The Kindle Touch is an e-ink device running an HTML5 operating system. I don't think it can run Android market software. It is unlikely to be useful "rooted" or "moded" or "jailbroken" for quite some time.

Oops, yeah, I was thinking Kindle Fire. I doubt you will see much marketed there for Go. Even books would be difficult.

If you're willing to go with the Kindle Fire:
Here are the directions to gain root access:

You can get KGS Server but it's expensive and I haven't tried it personally.

There is a go app for the Kindle Fire: AI Factory's Go. I can't speak as to it's playing power as I'm too poor at go to properly evaluate it (I'm only about a 25k) but it whips me regularly. It uses the Aya engine. It features 10 levels and handicaps
For $4 I figure you can't go too wrong.
