I'm disappointed Ilya Shikshin wasn't allowed to play for Europe; I was looking forward to seeing him fight with pros.

Even more exciting, Taiwan took two games off Korea. (Which is better than anyone was able to do in 2008, afaict.)

Next round: http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=12 ... 3A30+china

You can watch the games live on WBaduk

From http://ranka.intergofed.org/?p=6640
"Tomorrow the crunch will come when China meets Korea, Chinese Taipei seeks to recoup its losses to China and Korea by beating Japan, and the American and European teams vie for the first non-oriental team victory."

Usgo.org has some slightly different comments. Apparently Andy's game against Sakai Hideyuki was hard fought.

Round 2 results:

China 5 - 0 Taiwan http://unlimitedgo.blogspot.com/2011/12/round-2-result-china-scored-another.html

Japan 5 - 0 Europe http://unlimitedgo.blogspot.com/2011/12/round-2-result-japans-second-clear.html

Korea 5 - 0 U.S.A http://unlimitedgo.blogspot.com/2011/12/round-2-result-third-clear-swept.html

too bad that Taiwan couldn't cause the same trouble as they did to Korea. Round 3 will be between Taiwan vs Japan, China vs Korea, and Europe vs USA. Seems to be a crcial round for all teams :)

I'm surprised to read this on news as well and wonder who made this decision.
