Hey, I wanted to introduce myself. I am a 21 year old native texan and was introduced to Go by a friend down at a local game store. I am fortunate enough to have a local go club that is 10 minutes from where I live. It meets once a week and I have been going these last few weeks. I am able to play maybe 4 or 5 games when I am there.
Though the more I play the more excited I get for the game. So playing once a week isn't enough! I have the basic rules down and I think that I am ok but I am looking forward to getting better!!

I live a little bit to the southwest of Houston.

Ah, darn. My Houstonian friend is on the wrong side of town. Regardless, you should join the Texas Go Players room on KGS if you haven't.

What side of town does your friend live? Depending on how far it is, it may be worth the drive for me.
