Any chance of Go variants on Kaya? Like
Redstone?

I understand the general anti Go variant sentiment. Go variants are necessarily 1. Lesser and 2. Distracting.
Redstone may challenge the first assumption.

I think there are some variants planned, e.g. one-color-go. But these seem to have very low priority, so in case they are implemented, it will be much later.

Why aren't people mentioning Batoo? It is better than Go.

If by "better" you mean dead then it's better.

Dead as in "these stones are dead"? Sometimes a tesuji can bring them back to life.

Lol.
Batoo is actually pretty complex to implement. Also i'd have to find out about copyright issues.

I'm pretty sure Batoo died. The main site for it is gone.

Batoo definitely died. It was a very expensive endeavour. The client was really good. Very good design and it had sooo many features.
It was cool, but i dont think it could have survived on its own. It was really a go variant and as such its like making a server where you can only play one-color go.
It was fun and had some very interesting ideas. The hidden move made the game extra-psychological and deductive.
