World Mind Sport Games 2012

Are they planning on holding a second one this summer? I heard that it would be in August, but no word from AGA yet.
I would love to see a second one! These things are really exciting.

AFAIK, the sponsor aspect still awaits solution. IOW, chances are increasing that the event might not occur. This lets me wonder though why the event can't be held without sponsor money.

Anything remotely similar to the 2008 mind games must cost a few million dollars.

Not if it is run like a European go congress, i.e. participants pay everything themselves and prizes are a joke.

Probably every country. What i dont see in the website is if there is any sponsoring. There are sponsors in the right side, but not much else is said.
I'd certainly like to go this year

Probably the details are about to be delivered to each Federation ... but form me the most important clue of what's going to happen is this:
There are many hotels of every category, within walking distance from the Congress Centre “Lille Grand Palais” which is about 10 minutes’ walk from downtown Lille.
sounds like come and play, but pay your own sleep.. I don't know if you agree with me
