Life In 19x19

There are too many escapers in guests. I played 2 games using automatch, it gives me two guests and all of them are escapers.

I know there's an option: unranked opponent Ok. But i cannot unlick it, as myself don't have a rank. (deranked by admin).

but i was sentenced to derank with one game. Much severe policy than that of escapers.

Admins can force-derank someone? To what purpose does that power exist?

It is basically to prevent cheating with the ranking system, I think. It actually happened to me once, but it was due to a miscommunication.

My wife doesn't play go much, but one day she expressed a bit of interest. I let her play a single free game using my account. I mentioned this casually in a game kibitz, because I was excited that my wife was interested in playing go. One of the admins thought that I was manipulating the ranking system, so he took away my rank.

I complained about this and was given my rank back. It took a bit of time, but once the admins were convinced that I wasn't cheating, they were fine with letting me have a rank, again.

If it's a free game, the guy should not derank you.

They apparently have much tolerance of escaper than of this kind of situation. Note that escapers mostly do it intentionally, and they can do it several times before get punished.

But even in tournament in real life, if i felt unhappy to finished a game because me/my opponent played too bad or i felt tired, whatever, i would just resign and so far, i don't get any complain about it.
