norsu had the interesting idea that if a win by time is awarded, the players are given the option to continue the game as free. It's a very interesting novelty. I was just wondering what all of you thought about it.

Options -> Review Game (opponent will have automatically joined) -> Tools (upper left) -> set players (set player names)
A little more work that just a click, but it effectively does the exact thing you describe.

Making it more streamline is the idea. It's not something that has to be done, just an idea that could be an improvement.

Why do you consider this interesting as an automatic feature and how do you see it being implemented? Who initiates the free game, either player or just the winner? What time limits/allowances are used? I can imagine that there is a little more complexity involved than may be apparent at first glance.

Better yet, go to the KGS archives, grab the sgf file, then upload the sgf to eidogo. Make a move, get the eidogo link, copy it, paste it, and send it to your opponent via kgs pm. He opens the board, makes a move, sends you a link, and so on.
It's a little more work, but effectively the same.
Yes, I'm in a snarky mood today.

Eh, I mean, it's a luxury idea. The option would be a button on the end game pop up window, maybe? That's what I imagine. Just thought it was an interesting idea.
