Life In 19x19

Hi all

I wondered if there were any Go players in this forum that were going or thinking of attending a tournament in Leicester on October 14th??

I hope to be attending my first tournament and it would be good if anyone else on the forum was going, maybe we could catch up and grab a coffee (or book!) or both!

It will be my first tournament, so anyone with words of wisdom or advice, I'd appreciate it.

I plan to attend the Leicester tournament. I live in the West Midlands, so it will take about one hour by car to get there. How do you plan to travel and from where?

Recent UK tournaments have not had big entries, and new players are especially welcome.

FYI, I am 63 years old and male. *I* need someone experienced to show me how to get the best out of this new-fangled internet thing. It is tedious playing at 30kyu on KGS when one is 3kyu in real life.
