We've just formed a go club in El Paso, Texas, and I'd like to know how we go about becoming official?

Right now there are only five of us but hopefully we will grow.

I haven't been involved with a club that is a chapter for some time but it used to be that a certain minimum number of AGA members was required and there is a membership fee for chapters. The AGA web site says to write to the AGA for details on how to become a chapter: membership@usgo.org

Better idea: PM me (I'm one of two central region board members) if you need something that membership can't help you with.

Andy is actually president-elect for another month. He's also dealing with a family medical issue at the moment.

What you should do is go to https://www.usgo.org/members and look on the right side to sign up your chapter to become official. Its so easy anyone can do it!
