at the other 5-3 in that corner). I did contemplate it here, but it felt very much lower edge orientated, and it felt too much like I'd end up relying on making a big framework or losing. I'm trying to keep something dynamic and interesting now - I'm quite pleased about magicwand's last move as it makes the Q3 approach just right for White. I hadn't really worked out how I was going to deal adequately with various pincer options.
So many complications in the air already, someone's gonna die somewhere I suspect

It's the other other 3-5
. White 2 and 4 both have the strong/low sides facing black's stones. I have heard that it's a good way to counter an influence oriented opening by black, but I am at a level where playing a 3-5 point often gives an advantage because one player doesn't know how to deal with it well, so it's hard for me to make a real judgement of it.
