Why does the EGF GoR have 1p, 2p, etc. equivalents

I was looking at the entry for Yuqing Hu, the Chinese rep for the KPMC, in the EGD.

What's the deal with the 1p, 2p, etc. markings?

They assumed that 1p is 1/4th of a stone above 7d, and every rank after is 1/4th of a stone, and just did the math. it is very silly.

30 ELO actually, but yeah, it's not only silly and pointless, but also very misleading.
