my KGS Plus account is about to expire, and I'm unable to renew through PayPal. PayPal keeps telling me "The card you entered cannot be used for this payment. Please enter a different credit or debit card number." But there's nothing wrong with my card. I use it for other purchases all the time. I don't know if this is a KGS problem or a PayPal problem. I can't figure out how to contact PayPal, because it keeps wanting me to login -- but I don't have a PayPal account to login with.

Anyone else experiencing this problem? Anyone have any ideas how to solve it?

I just tried to donate to this site (life in 19) and got the same error.

I don’t quite understand how you’d get as far with PayPal that it tells you that your card can’t be used if you have no PayPal account.

because you can use paypal to make payments without having to have an account -- I've done that in the past, but apparently its not working any more

solved: turns out it was a paypal issue (and a combination of other issues)

apparently you can't make "guest" payments if you have an account (although I swear I've done that in the past).

turns out I do have an account -- that I haven't used in 6 years, so it had been disabled.

I couldn't login to it (or request a password change) because I could receive emails from paypal because after reporting various spams over the years, their address was added to the blocked list (that I didn't know I had).

their contact us number is well hidden, but eventually I found it. And I really hate the maze of automated computer question/response system. If you just wait long enough, it'll eventually connect you to a real person.
