Is there something I am missing in sending a private message to another member?

The message I composed seems to just sit in the outbox, indefinitely.

Is there a send button I am supposed to hit after I submit the message?

It sits in the outbox until they log in and view it, I believe. I have one message in my outbox that has been there for months a year--the other user has quit the boards and I was trying to get in touch with him.

They stay there until the recepient reads them.

Ah. no wonder. It been sitting in the outbox since the beginning of the week...

I guess that's a bad sign.
