I've recently purchased a copy of Invincible (finally!) and am particularly interested in studying games with taisha variations. Is anyone able to suggest offhand which games in the book feature the taisha?

If you have the book why don't you look at the game diagrams? You should be able to recognize the taisha joseki shapes. One famous game is the "ear reddening" game, Shusaku (BBlack) vs. Gennan Inseki (White), played in 1846.

According to GoGoD/Kombilo the following games are included in 'Invinsible', feature the taisha, and one of the players is either "Yasuda Shusaku" or "Honinbo Shusaku":
1843-11-27: Kadono Chuzaemon - Yasuda Shusaku (B), 1843-11-27, 6a,
1844-11-19: Ito Matsujiro - Yasuda Shusaku (B), 1844-11-19, 8a,
1846-09-11a: Inoue Genan Inseki - Yasuda Shusaku (B), 1846-09-11, 10a,
1849-12-19a: Ito Showa - Honinbo Shusaku (B), 1849-12-19, 8a,
1849-12-31b: Sakaguchi Sentoku II - Honinbo Shusaku (B), 1849-12-31, 8a,
1851-07-03a: Honinbo Shusaku - Sekiyama Sendayu (B), 1851-07-03, 8a,
1852-12-27a: Honinbo Shusaku - Inoue Matsumoto Inseki (W), 1852-12-27, 8a,
1853-05-14: Honinbo Shusaku - Ota Yuzo (W), 1853-05-14, 6d,
1853-11-03: Honinbo Shusaku - Ota Yuzo (W), 1853-11-03, 7a-,
1853-12-17b: Honinbo Shusaku - Yasui Sanchi (W), 1853-12-17, 15b-,
1858-12-21a: Honinbo Shusaku - Sakaguchi Sentoku II (W), 1858-12-21, 13c-,
1859-11-26: Honinbo Shusaku - Ebisawa Kenzo (W), 1859-11-26, 9b-,
1859-12-10b: Hattori Seitetsu - Honinbo Shusaku (B), 1859-12-10, 6a,

Note that there may be more due to the way I restricted the search. Also these results do not include the taisha response to the 3-space low pincer, which was also fairly common in that era. :salute:

Reviewing the ear reddening game was what prompted me to ask the question, actually. But seriously, why review 400 pages of diagrams when someone clever can just pop it into Kombilo and post in a few minutes

Because you might not notice the blood vomiting game given in the preamble (in which Jowa does make an overplay).

*It is a 3-space-pincer taisha if we are specifically not including those.
