Go Beginner From USA

Hi everyone! I didn't see a general introduction thread, but rather people making their own, so here is mine. My internet handle is araluen7, I'm 19, Live in the USA and although I know the very basics of Go I have been playing on and off over the course of 2 years. I haven't had anyone really to play, so I usually play myself or a computer online. I've tried to find games to recreate from other players just so I can get a sense of what they are thinking when they play a certain hand etc. I do go on a few websites to solve some Go problems, but I feel like nothing that I currently do is a substitute for actual games and match experience.
Outside of Go I enjoy several other strategy based games such as Chess and Pokemon. I play Pokemon Competitively and have some high ranking wins in several tournaments. With a new game coming out in October I look forward to arriving quickly on the scene and racking up several wins to make myself more wide-known in that community.
I am here to learn as much as I can about the game, and will be akin to a sponge when someone goes out of their way to help me. I will appreciate anything you guys have to offer a low level beginner as myself
