Sorry I didn't introduce myself earlier, so now I will do it.

My name is Matias, 18 years old, I'm from that little country in South America called Chile. I started playing go in 2011 with the help of a local club called Tengen, and I haven't drop since that (well a large portion from 2011 was lost by the 20kyu syndrome: You start to know the game, but you drop it by at least 6 or 8 months before playing it again).

I will be active in this forum from now on trying to help new people or by seeing some interesting information, I first joined because of the Game Reviews subforum, but as I searched through the forum I found many interesting things, like the Malkovich games or the general subforums about Go.

I hope we see in the virtual goban sometimes, If i'm in kgs don't hesitate to chat me for a match :D

Greetings!

Welcome to L19.

Your 'little' country has one of the most beautiful place that I have ever seen: Torres del Paine. If I were rich, I would be taking a vacation there every summer/spring, just to sit and watch the glaciers calving.

Chile isn't so little. It's 4270 Km long from north to south!

Going past 20 kyū or even 10 kyū can be very difficult, but not impossible. Until I found out about the importance of solving Go puzzles and replaying pro games, I wasn't going anywhere with my efforts. I would play and play, but lose almost all my games.

I have never been to Chile, but I'm very fond of Ambrosoli chocolate :D
