Hello
Well this is my first game on kgs, I clearly made terrible mistakes, even as a beginner missing atari etc
I do believe I lost if you count he just had to go.

Here are some comments. Overall I think you did fine. You didn't make many more mistakes than your opponent. Congratulations on the win, even if it wasn't supposed to be one.

Most of my comments are about move 11, at B16. Try to understand the theory here, and make sure you follow the branches to the ends, even if they start looking repetitive.

When you approach with a knight's move ( aka kiema approach ) one of your primary goals is to steal the corner from him. Usually he does not let you do this easily, so the alternative goal is to live with the approach stone.
Any time that you approach a 4-4 stone, you should keep in mind these two options: steal corner or live on the side. ( FWIW, there are other less common options such as making another approach move from the other side - F16 or F17 - but let's keep it simple for now )
With D12, white has announced that he does not intend to make it easy for you to live on the side. So, if he has contested one of your two primary options, the easiest thing to do is to take the other. The aggressive play is to contest his attempt.

@Joaz -
Your comments are fine, but the OP is white in this game. Not black.

Black had to leave at the end so white won. Also, white is FlyingSage.

Yes I was white
Thanks for the comments on spacing and approching, as you mentioned I should learn not to simply react I did feel that my opponent controlled the game and I simply responded and perhaps not did enough to reduce territory.
