Hi,
recently my opponent and i could not agree about the status of a group when we were in scoring mode. It was my mistake by the way  but when i saw my fault my opponent already sended the game to the pandanet office. They scored the game some days later.

My question: Is this a hidden feature? I havent found the regarding command. Perhaps this feature is only available in the japanes client-software?

Greetings
Nagu

Are you sure they sent it to the pandanet office? IGS automatically counts a game as lost by the first person to disconnect if the game has not been resumed for 15 days.

Hi!

Yes, this feature exists in PandaEgg (at least the Japanese version) and will be available in future versions of gGo.

Cheers,
Benjamin

This is just a 'with a bit of experience you stumble across the fact it works that way' feature. I don't believe it is specific to any particular client. I believe it just occurs when both of you disagree about the score of the game 3 times during the counting phase, without escaping. Normally the scoring adjudicators set the score and sign it with their little red electronic stamp within 3 days in my experience.

Hi, I'm new to IGS, and started playing a few games there. In a game I just played, we got to the counting phase and both had missed an open spot on the board. However, we didn't find a way to resume the game. How do you do this with the pandanet client? Is it even possible? In the end, we scored the game as is, and I gave up about 28 points to do so. So, how do you resume a game once the counting phase has begun?

with GoPanda, pressing "undo" is enough to resume the game.

maybe old clients have problems because of the new undoplease command that may not be implemented (and turned on by the opponent)

Usage: undo
NOTE: The undo command changed in January 2006, and the replacement is
'undoplease'. Usage: undoplease
If a player sends 'undo', the server replies with:
5 You cannot undo because you are not requested.
5 see help undoplease
'undoplease' works as follows:
The player must have 'toggle newundo on', otherwise you will see this
message "Opponent's client does not support undoplease."
Player A sends undoplease
Player B receives the message "24 *SYSTEM*: xxx requests undo."
Player B sends 'undo' (to agree), or 'noundo' (to decline).
If a 'noundo' is sent, the game will become a no undo game.
The 'teach' command has unlimited undo's.
