Re: Programs on android
Hactar Go is pretty good for reviewing SGFs, can be found from Google Play. It has server-based AI analysis, and even more powerful analysis with a subscription.

Re: Desktop or Notebook?
A few weeks old thread but still my 5 cents...
Yes I think that 100 % vs. 167 % difference will come down mostly to personal taste, mobility vs. slightly faster analysis.
If you do analysis interactively, getting to review the first moves in 2 seconds vs. 3 seconds is not a big deal. If you want ...

Re: LZ's progression
Match games are run with visit parity because the architecture was originally designed for fixed size net, so time and visit parity would be essentially the same.
With the Leela Zero project, there has been a size upgrade every few months or so, and as the change is usually done manually, it doesn ...

Re: Experimental LeelaZero: 0 komi and high handicap
From what I have understood (on Leela Zero github issue discussions), LeelaZeroT should also use this variable komi version. But WTH is this:

Re: LZ's progression
LZ15#157 vs LZElf :
at 5 minutes , LZElf wins 13-7 (65%) (6 wins as B, and 7 as W)
at 10 minutes, LZElf wins 13-7 (65%) (5 wins as B, and 8 as W)
at 15 minutes, LZElf wins 12-8 (60%) (6 wins as B, and 6 as W)
Very nice! It means one can likely get already quite on par analysis with Lizzie ...

Re: Free Apps for Android and iPhone
Hactar Go Lite is also free one, good SGF viewing and if I recall correctly, it had an AI as well when I last checked:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... Lite&hl=en
Good reviews on Google Play Store, and I know the author is a good guy, a fellow Finn.

Re: LZ's progression
Thanks to alreadydone, LZ can now handle high handicap (HERE)
Playing (and winning) H7 and H8 games against 4 Dan... Wow !
Winning against "4d" LZ #80 might not be such an achievement, considering the LZ network is probably very bad playing as black in high handicap. It would be more ...

Re: “Tencent World AI Weiqi Competition” June 23 + 24, 2017
Amazing performance by Leela Zero in this one. I went through its games with Lizzie and Leela Zero #150 weights, and wondered how there were quite many fully unexpected moves from Leela, and it seemed Leela was able to turn the tables in several of the games that LZ150 thought quite surely lost. So ...

Re: Engine Tournament
Every tournament I have ever heard of uses the results of current matches. I have never heard of a tournament that reused results from previous tournaments.
To describe what you are doing as an engine tournament is very misleading, because it implies you're using new results for each new round of ...

Re: LZ's progression
What is also interesting, that Leela with ELF weights won 93 % of games against LZ #132. After that there has been a skyrocket rise of stronger networks in just a few days, with LZ #136 being 150 ELO stronger than #132 in self-play (I think it's actually cumulative ELO so 136vs135 + 135vs134 ...

Re: Facebook release Zero bot, open source code/weights
Looked through half of the pro vs. elf games. Facebook's bot is just frighteningly powerful (to my untrained 1k eyes at least). If you trust the "black value" evaluation (I assume black value goes from -1 to 1 meaning almost certain loss to almost certain win) in the comments, it seems most games ...

Re: LZ v Golaxy
Now 0-2 for Golaxy. Jonathan Roy had made a nice stream with Lizzie analyzing the game real-time (we're so spoiled nowadays!):

Based on the first two, first hunch would be that Golaxy has a slight edge -- not a huge one, otherwise the games would've ...
