Re: Why are Korean Go players so strong?

Korea is strong after later 1980s, before that Japan absolutely was the number one.
The Korean did a playing style reform, in short, they broke many thinking restrictions made by Japanese orthodox system, the game is much free than before.

Re: Professional Go - A Framework

Most first-group and second-group Chinese players, about 60 people, are getting money from League-A.
If win a chief game (one chief game, two normal games, one blitz game in each round) the player can get around 50,000 Yuan, and other bonus.

She lead other female players struck a match in Taiwan.
In short, they gave game fee to male players, but didn't give to female players. The sponsor is a town government around Shanghai.

It's written "protest sex discrimination"

Re: Bamboo goban?

Yes, bamboo is "Green", it grows very fast.

Bamboo goban is very easily cracked, especially in the dry winter of North China, if you live in a dry area you may wipe it with wet cloth occasionally, and cover a (dry) cloth on it when you don't use it, it will be fine.

Before the first use, use a ...

Re: China bans thickness

My understanding this policy try to stop creating phonetic loanwords in later time, for example: sofa, mini, tank.
China already accept Latin letters, you can see NBA, CPI, GDP, PH, TV, CPU those common abbreviations in anywhere.

Re: A suggestion for user experience

I advisedly misclick the dead stones such as H13 and G6.
My purpose is simple, if the software marks the shared liberties automatically with another colour, then the misclicked dead stones are quite obvious on the board.
No need AI algorithm, we select dead stones follow the old way.
