Re: Go (a sonnet)
Someone said the poem reads like an anime theme song, so I made such a song with Suno. It's called "Let's Go."

Go (a sonnet)
For fifty thousand moons, perhaps yet more,
your elders have rehearsed this secret show,
a world inside the world that was before,
cloaked from the West beneath the name of Go.
I'm told of brighter skies, but this is vaster,
a universe of black and white persuasion
where sweetest triumph dances with ...

Go (free translation of Borges' poem)
I made a free translation of Borges' famous Go poem , turning it into a "blank sonnet." (Line 12 was suggested by an AI after someone noted an issue with the previous version.)
Go

I held a small disc in my hand, a fraction
of the three hundred sixty-one ...

Re: Asli, a Go-like game, is available on Abstract Play
I'm usually skeptical about some of these "go-like" games. But I checked it out anyway, and it is actually a fascinating and elegant looking game (though maybe its predecessors more so). So I look forward to trying it/them out!

Asli, a Go-like game, is available on Abstract Play
Asli is a game that feels like Go from another planet. Play it here: https://play.abstractplay.com/games/asli
The key rule is this: a group is captured if there is no path of connected empty points between that group and any other group of its color. The path does not need to be a straight line.

The Machine
I had not told anyone yet, for fear of worship or ridicule, that I have kept a random game tree generator running since the beginning of time, in a corner of the universe I now truthfully call my basement. Powered by the stars, unnoticed by the living, it has survived fire and ice, pitiful familial ...

Re: New remarkable ko beast?
Is it the case that, in No-Pass Go with prisoner return, if there are no situations that invite repetitions, the winner in this position is simply the player with the greater sum of territory and prisoners, with the provisions that the ko intersection be counted as territory for the opponent and ...

Tile Go and Cushion Go: using tiles to remove cycles
Tile Go is a finite Go variant without superko rules. It differs from Go in the following aspects:
If the last placement (regardless of color) was made in enemy territory and you want to place a stone on your turn, you must first place a tile on an empty point and then, on the same turn, place ...
