Re: Shoulder Hit Madness

In position A I think is correct because there is no way for white to link his stones together.

My thoughts on position A:

Re: General things to take a 1D to 6D?

In my opinion the most important thing to progress in Go is just consistent playing of thoughtful games.

Re: Rambling back to ddk

It's really important not to play things that people tell you are good, but you don't understand. For instance, if you're not comfortable with the result after reading it out or reviewing the game afterward, think about what you could play that YOU think is good (or at least even.)

Let's say that a ...

Seems that it will be a couple weeks before we play, one of us will post that date here when we have it set.

Re: Does losing hurt?

For me losing hurt if I made really dumb mistakes. If I played a really good game and still lost, it could be disappointing, but it didn't hurt the same way. This is how it used to be for me.

Recently I have gotten over these feeling because I think I have developed more as a person (not related ...

Re: Terrible Tesuji (and how to develop it)

In my experience, if the handicap is correct, there is no need to induce mistakes from your opponent. It's very possible to win just by taking advantage of your opponents mistakes.

For me, the goal of studying L&D or tesuji is to be able to start reading a position correctly without having to read ...

Re: Stuck at 2D

I recommend trying to play on Tygem or Wbaduk. The style is much different than KGS/IGS and it may give you some good experience. The lower dan ranks are weaker than KGS so I would set your rank 1 or 2 stones higher on these servers.

If you really want to get stronger I would recommend looking ...

Re: Stuck at 2D

Do you only play on one go server or have you tried others? You also said you were taught before, have you tried many different teachers or only one? In any case, here's a quick review of your game, enjoy!

Re: i cant't use thickness ....

Here are a few comments about the opening,

B50: You have a good position for sure.

B51: This move is just too slow, the problem is that it has no follow up since white is 100% alive. f3 is the move I would play as black.

B53: This is the wrong direction. You should play around f3, if white jumps ...

Re: Looking for a better opening

If you've hit a wall I seriously doubt changing your first 2 moves or your opening is going to help you very much, and if it does it won't for long.

It's more likely you are making some fundamental mistakes, and for that you should get some games reviewed by a stronger player.

Re: Ask a question, get an answer (hopefully)

Hello tabemasu, sir. I would be honored if I could receive a review of my game in the oza thread in the game analysis forum. I put my heart and soul into that game, and it lasted well over two days. Sincerely, oso. Thank you.

Unfortunately I can't seem to download your game to review, if you want ...

A question about joseki. Pros never play , so why is it bad? It looks like Black can get a good result.

Re: Ask a question, get an answer (hopefully)

What is the status of the top white group in this thread ? I think mw42's ko for seki seems the best answer, but I'd like to be sure. If I only get one question, what I'd really like to know is if it would give a good tsumego.

I think it should be alive unconditionally if W doesn't mind losing ...

Dunno, I would have to study your games to make a guess
