I have played here and there and I would say that one of the biggest things I have at least learned so far is that I shouldn't take it personal that I am going to lose badly alot. I have come to terms with this mostly and as much as I'd really like to play challenging games where I am honestly ...

I kill it in task manager and try it again- won't work. I kill every java process and try again- still won't work. I reboot the pc and it'll work until I have to end the application- usually because of a disconnection or a crash of some type and I deal with it all over again.

My connection usually starts from the moment that windows first loads and it is the KGS launcher that never shows up- it is the java loading screen that shows up and then when it finishes, it goes away, and from that point nothing.

I get disconnected, I quit the application using the launcher and then try to relaunch the launcher and I never get past the java loading screen. I check my task manager and it says the java app is running, but no matter how long I wait it never works, so I try again- same issue.

I have difficulty in handling having multiple stones set against me to begin with- even if the other player is supposed to be "weaker" it can be stressful. Any tips?

I was on KGS and I was playing some matches and made it to about 24k (whether or not I really am that or I just did well on people off their game), so when I went against a guy that was ranked like 27k and got my face rocked off the whole game made me wonder if I was really improving at all.

seems my only lag issues are with KGS- it just doesn't seem to like me, either that or the java app is borked out on my pc.

I like the criticism, is there a problem if I continue posting some of my games? It sorta would probably seem like trash to alot of people as green as I am- but I really do feel like I do get something out of it.

Not sure if this comes into play but at the end it seemed ( I don't know exactly how the program handles it)like the other player kept on trying to claim all my stones as dead.

a little confused as to why I lost when I gabbed all 3 corners and a good chunk of the middle

So was playing the igowin game and was hovering between 20k and 16k, played a couple games on KGS against people that were in the 30ish k range and got dominated. I know I am new, and that an ai can only simulate so much of a real person's game, but how much defeat should I expect before I can start ...
