Re: Time settings?

I've followed the thread since it started and want to share my thoughts.

First: I'm not a big fan of the idea of having max time limits either. I like long games. I want them to be rated.

As the argument goes, there seem to be two main issues:

a) abuse
b) rating

About abuse: I think this is not ...

11 vs. 11 kyu //Any comment welcome

this is a game I've recently played on Dragon Go. Im black. I resigned. The game is interesting for a couple of reasons:

a) I was emotionally invested in the game. I did not want to loose ... and did so anyways ... badly.
b) I stublmed very early on and then tried to come back through a series ...

Attatchment Tesuji

Hi,

I'm currently studying tesuji with the help of Tesuji by James Davies. Sadly, from time to time I do not even get the explanations

Here black is to play. The solution says black is to play the attatchment tesuji a, threatening the driving tesuji at b.

$$c tsumego //Tesuji p.173 ...

Re: tsumego-question // How to kill the corner?

Thanks for all the answers. So black needs to be willing to fight a Ko when playing the double hane in this position.

tsumego-question // How to kill the corner?

Hi,

I'm currently studying the Tesuji book by James Davids. This is a tsuemgo to practise the double hane tesuji. This is the solution given:

The important part is that white 10 is necessary in order to bring alive the corner - this allows ...

Re: No 2 Games Alike?

I believe even if two game would be completly the same from order of moves and time to used in thinking at every move there would still have been other thoughts ins the players mind. Therefore it's impossible for me to think of 2 games which are alike.
Sorry if that's off the questions but that's ...

What are the features you are looking forward to the most?

Hi,

what is it you really really can't wait to see? Give the two or three favorites.

Mine:

1) Replay and teaching tools: Tools that make it easy to share knowledge, experience and ideas are my undisputed number one. I even hope that Kaya will provide tools so good that it will be attractive to ...

Re: Donation Observation

I hang around in Kaya more or less all day every day since the alpha is open. I can not recall a single time without a dev present - listening to people, fixing stuff, playing games, answering questions.

The amount of effort and dedication put into the project is astonishing.

If you had paid a ...

Re: When to play this Joseki?

A lot of this stuff is not obvious because it's really difficult to imagine how the game might be progressing in even just 10 or 20 moves. I encourage you to try these shapes for yourself, and guarantee that your opponents will frequently be able to make your positions look much worse than you ...
