I'm currently Tygem 6d. My goal is to be Tygem 8d within 3 months. I won't really be "studying", I'll just play games when I have time. I'll also review my own games, do go problems and perhaps some other things if i have more time.

My win-lose rate is pretty bad right now at 13-10 in ranked games ...

I don't think KGS is a good go server to play on if you get to high dan. The rankings in the high dans can be misleading because of the lack of players at that level.

Yeah, however unrealistic it may be, if I aim for something, why not aim for the highest possible for an amateur.

Yep. KGS ranks are like 2 to 3 stones stronger than tygem ranks at dan level. I heard the difference between a weak tygem 9d and strong tygem 9d was 3 stones. I'm 3d on kgs, 6d on tygem.
