Thanks for pointing out the slight difference between Chinese rule and AGA-area rule.
in this point , AGA-area rule looks like more reasonable although it is impossible for black to play this way.

Re: one question: what's Komi for AGA rules currently?
Thanks Yoyoma.
I've read the AGA area rule . I cannot find out any difference between AGA area rule and current Chinese rule.
but for AGA territory rule, it is difference from the current Japanese rule, especially in case of bend four and seki.

Re: Yang738's Study Journal
For the past May, I completed the 3 books "Commented Games by Lee Sedol 1,2,3(chinese version)". Acctually I only replay Lee's games on weekend. I spend lots of time on reviewing my own games last month.
I think it is very important to review their own games for the people who really want to ...

Re: Yang738's Study Journal
how much can you get from analyzing professional games?
my own opinion, junior players could not get too much from pro-games because they acctually don't know the reason the pros play the stone.
from my own experience, I seldom review pro games before 3d. Even now I don't think I can get much ...

Re: Tricky Go terms to translate
勝負 means victory and failure , it also refers result (of a game).
勝負師: means master, in go field , only several topest players can be called this title.
气势 : I know what it means in Chinese, but I cannot find a similar word in English.

Re: No game after disconnect
I met such a situation a couple of times.
when both my opponent's connection and mine get away, then the kifu losts.
when I am waiting for my opponent who is disconncted ,I lost my connection . the same thing occurs.

it looks like you just missed the Shanxi province(Xian is capital)Spring weiqi Rank competition between 26 Feb and 1st March.
but there are several matches in Xian every year.
and there will be Xian spring weiqi rank competition on 1st - 3rd May and Autum rank comp. on 1st-3rd Oct.
good luck ...
