Re: playing on board while playing online
I used to do that when I was first learning how to play. Did that with my games on IGS because I didn't have anyone around me to actually play with and wanted to get used to playing on a real board. The perspective difference can throw off your eye if you're not used to it.

Great idea I have bookmarked it. Your videos and their humor is usually appreciated.
Best wishes for the site!
Always good to hear! I've received more than one comment saying that my content is too informal.
Nice page. Though really there is no reason to have that content comming slow sign ...

Dwyrin's New Go Site is Now Live...More or less
Ever since I first created my youtube channel showcasing my lessons and various games on various servers, the harsh critique I've received was that the other content on said channel angered a lot of players who did not want to see anything else besides go. Well, one of my main objectives is to ...

Maybe this: http://www.lifein19x19.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=2205#p2205
No, that's for the japanese. Now the registration entries might be the same with the japanese and eweiqi's chinese registration, but again I'm not sure. Just wondering if the old thread that someone was kind enough to provide ...

Old godiscussions reg thread?
Perhaps i missed it, but I can't seem to find the old article m that was found here with nice translations of the entire registration process. A friend of mine would like to register and I do not know where else to point them. I do not wish to point them to the Japanese registration due to the ...

Re: Memorizing Games of Professionals
I cannot improve any more, so that I've almost stopped playing.
This is a bit worrisome. If you're at the point where you're frustrated enough to stop playing, I think it would be a bad idea to take up something even more frustrating.
That said, i primarily focused on games which emphasize the ...

Re: Memorizing Games of Professionals
In my first two years of playing go I improved largely by memorizing professional games. I began around 8kyu and by the end of the first year I had reached 1dan. A friend of mine, when reaching a barrier of around 1kyu/1dan or so, took an even more extreme path. He stopped playing any go, only ...

Easy: we love your live commented games. The mediafire solution was great, as we could dowload the files to watch offline, but I guess youtube is easier for everyone.

Re: More Go Videos
Thank you very much for your generosity, spongebob. I'm sorry the quality of the videos isn't better. My harddrive died not too long ago resulting in the loss of raw video i could have used for HD. Instead I'm stuck with what livestream encodes them as.

For those of you who do not already know, I set up a livestream account (which could be found here m) awhile ago in order to record my lectures as well as my games, all with commentary. It was well received, videos began to accumulate, and everything was fine...for awhile. Trouble is i quickly ran ...

Re: Go Videos.
Due to storage limitations on livestream, as well as those who cannot stream livestream due to bandwith problems, i've gone ahead and uploaded one of my lectures here m for download. In the future i plan on creating a website to archive all past lectures in a similar fashion...just as soon as i ...
